Mumbai - Bhimshankar - Nashik (415 kms/ 08 hrs)
After breakfast depart for Nashik via Bhimshankara.Located 127 km from Shivajinagar (in Pune) in the Ghat region of the SahyadriMountains. Bhimshankar is also the source of the river Bhima, which flows southeast and merges with the Krishna river near Raichur. Bhimshankar is an ancient shrine, oneof the 12 Jyotirling as of Shiva. Far away from the tumult of urban life,peeping through the white clouds, Bhimshankar can be termed a pilgrim's paradise. The dense forests surrounding the high ranges are an abode for rare species of flora and fauna. Situated at the extreme end of the Sahyadri Ranges,this place gives a wonderful view of the world around the local rivers and hill stations. The Bhimshankar temple is a composite of old and new structures in the Nagara style of architecture. In the Ghat region of the hills, proceed to Nashik. Overnight stay in Nashik.

After breakfast depart for Tryambakeshwar, located in the town of Trimbak is Tryambakeshwar one of the twelve Jyotirling as, where the Hindu genealogy registers at Trimbakeshwar, Maharashtra are kept the origin of the sacred Godavari river are also found near Trimbak. Continue the journey to Shirdi. Famously known as the home of the late 19th century saint Sri Sai Baba. Shirdi - Grishneshwar - Aurangabad (230 kms / 05 hrs)
After breakfast visit Dwarka Mandir, Khandada Mandir, and Samadhi Mandir. Later proceed to Aurangabad. A city known for its 17th-century marble Bibi ka Maqbara shrine, styled on the Taj Mahal. Afternoon we visit Grishneshwaralso at times referred to as Dhushmeshwa. The temple is an important pilgrimage site in the Shaiva tradition of Hinduism, which considers it as the last or twelfth Jyotirlinga of Shiva. Overnight stay in Aurangabad.

After breakfast and depart for Omkareshwar. It is on an island called Mandhata or Shivapuri on the Narmada River. The island is said to be shaped like the Hinduॐ symbol. Omkareshwar is amongst the twelve Jyotirling as of Lord Shiva. Thereafter head back to Indore.Overnight in Indore.

Indore - Ujjain (60 kms/ 1.5 hrs) - Ahmedabad
After breakfast we head for Ujjain. It is a famous Hindu pilgrimage centre with the Kumbh Mela held here every 12 years. It was the capital of the ancient Avanti kingdom, one of the sixteen mahajanapadas. Itremained an important political, commercial and cultural centre of central India until the early 19th century, when the British administrators decided to develop Indore as an alternative to it. Ujjain continues to be an important place of pilgrimage for Shaivites, Vaishnavites and followers of Shakta. Herewe visit the Maheshwari located on the side of the river Shipra It is also believed to the most sacred abodes of Lord Shiva. Maheshwari is amongst the twelve Jyotirling as of Lord Shiva. Thereafter transfer to railway station foran overnight train to Ahmedabad.

After an early breakfast we depart for Somnath via Rajkot. Rajkot has been under different rulers since it was founded. It has had a long history and had a significant influence in the Indian independence movement. Rajkot was home to many personalities like Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi. Rajkot is in a transition period of growing cultural, industrial and economical activities. En route visit Jalaram Mandir. On arrival in Somnath check in. Overnight stay in Somnath.

After breakfast visit the famous Somnath Temple located in Phrabhas Patan. The Somnath temple, is believed to be the first among the twelve jyotirling a shrines of Shiva. It is an important pilgrimage and tourist spot of Gujarat. Reconstructed several times in the past after repeated destruction by several Muslim invaders and rulers. Overnight stay in Somnath.

Somnath - Dwarka (260 kms/ 04 – 05 hrs)
After breakfast we depart for Dwarka, often identified with the Dwarka Kingdom, the ancient kingdom of Krishna, and is believed to have been the first capital of Gujarat. The city's name literally means gateway. Visit Nageshwar, according to the Shiva Purana NageshvaraJyotirlinga is in 'the Darukavana', which is an ancient name of a forest in India. 'Darukavana' finds mention in Indian epics, such as Kamyakavana, Dvaitavana, Dandakavana. Nageshwar is amongst the twelve Jyotirling as of Lord Shiva. Overnight stay in Dwarka.

Have an early breakfast and transfer to airport for the flight to Madurai. Located on the banks of River Vaigai, Madurai has been a major settlement for two millennia. Upon arrival continue your journey to Rameswaram, is on Pamban Island also known as Raneswaram Island, separated from mainland India by the Pamban channel. It is connected to the mainland by the Panban bridge. The Ramanathaswamy Temple, dedicated to the Vedic god Shiva, is at the centre of the town and is closely associated with Rama.The temple and the town are considered a holy pilgrimage site for Shaivas and Vaishnavas. Rameswaram - Madurai (175 kms/ 03 – 04 hrs)
After breakfast visit Rameshwaram temple. According to Hindu epic Ramayana, Rama, the seventh avatar of the god Vishnu, prayed to Shiva here to absolve any sins that he might have committed during his war against the demon-king Ravana in Sri Lanka. Upon the advice of sages, Rama along with his wife Sita and his brother Lakshmana, installed and worshipped the lingam here to expiate the sin of Brahma hatya incurred while killing of the Brahmin Ravana. Sita built a lingam, made of just Sands of the shores,which is also believed to be the one in the sanctum of the temple. Rameshwaram is amongst twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. Later drive to Madurai for overnight stay.

Madurai - Hyderabad
After breakfast visit Sri Meenakshi temple with its imposing gopurams and sculptures and worship at Sri Meenakshi temple. Located on the southern banks of Vaigai River is the city temple of Madurai. It is dedicated to Meenakshi, a form of Parvati,and her consort, Sundareshwar, a form of Shiva. The temple is at the centre of the ancient temple city of Madurai mentioned in the Tamil Sangam literature,with the goddess temple mentioned in 6th century. In the afternoon transfer to airport for flight to Hyderabad, the capital and largest city of the state of Telangana.In 1591 Qutb Shahi ruler Muhammad Quli Qutb Shah established Hyderabad to extend the capital beyond the fortified Golconda. Since 1956, the city houses the winter office of the President of India. Overnight stay in Hyderabad.

After breakfast drive to Srisailam, famous for Mallikarjuna Jyotirlinga Temple and is one of the holy pilgrimage sites for Saivism and Shaktism sects of Hinduism. The town is classified as both Jyotirlinga and Shakti Peetha. Srisailam is amongst the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. This one is considered one of the greatest salivate shrines in India. Srisailam - Hyderabad (215 kms/ 04 – 05 hrs) - Kolkata
After an early breakfast drive to Hyderabad airport to for flight to Kolkata, the capital of West Bengal. Located on the east bank of the Hooghly River approximately 80 kilometres (50 mi) west of the border with Bangladesh, it is the principal commercial, cultural, and educational centre of East India, while the Port of Kolkata is India's oldest operating port and its sole major riverine port. Kolkata - Ganga Sagar - Jasidih station
After breakfast we depart for Ganga Sagar, lying on the Continental Shelf of Bay of Bengal about 100 km south of Kolkata. This island forms the Sagar CD Block in Kakdwip subdivision of South 24 Parganas district in the Indian State of West Bengal. This island is a place of Hindu pilgrimage. Every year on the day of Makar Sankranti (14 January), hundreds of thousands of Hindus gather to take a holy dip at the confluence of river Ganges and Bay of Bengal and offer prayers (puja) in the Kapil Muni Temple. Return to Kolkata in the evening and head for the railway station for overnight train to Jasidih station in Jharkhand.

Arrive Jasidih station - Visit Baijnath Temple (Vaidyanathan) - Bodh Gaya
Arrive early in the morning at Jasidih station and continue your journey to Deogarh also referred to as Devgarh Formerly the city was an estate of the Chundawat Rajputs to visit the Baijnath temple. It is dedicated to Lord Shiva as Vaidyanath (Devanagari), ‘the Lord of physicians’. According to the inscriptions on the present day Baijnath temple structure, a temple of LordShiva had existed before construction of present-day structure. The inner sanctum houses a Shiva lingam. Later we proceed to Bodhgaya for overnight stay.

Bodh Gaya - Varanasi (250 kms/ 05 – 06 hrs)
After early morning breakfast, visit a religious site and place of pilgrimage associated with the Mahabodhi Temple Complex in Gaya district in the Indian state of Bihar. It is famous as it is the place where Gautama Buddha is said to have attained Enlightenment (Pali: bodhi) under what became known as the Bodhi Tree. Since antiquity, Bodh Gaya has remained the object of pilgrimage and veneration for both Hindus and Buddhists. See the Bodhi tree, Mahabodhi Temple (the spot where Buddha gained enlightenment and set out on his life of preaching,Monasteries). Afternoon drive to Varanasi also known as Benares, or Kashi, is a city on the banks of the river Ganges. A major religious hub in India, it is the holiest of the seven sacred cities (Sapta Puri) in Hinduism and Jainism and played an important role in the development of Buddhism and Ravidassia. Pre breakfast, see Varanasi as it wakes up, have an early morning sunrise boat ride on the holy river Ganges, see the famous ghats (embankments made in steps of stone slabs along the river bank where pilgrims perform ritual ablutions). See some of the more famous ghats in particular the Dashashwamedh, the Panchganga, the Manikarnikat and the Harishchandra, the last two being where Hindus cremate their dead; proceed to Kashi Vishwanath Temple where you can perform pooja etc. Return to the hotel for late breakfast. In the afternoon have a city tour of Varanasi see Bharat Mata temple, Durga temple, Banaras Hindu University and many other sights too numerous to mention. Drive past the bazaars, brocades and famous Banarasi silk sari shops. Overnight stay in Varanasi.

Delhi - Rishikesh (225 kms/ 04 – 05 hrs)
After breakfast drive to Rishikesh also known as Hrishikesh is located in the foothills of the Himalayas in northern India and is often referred to as the "Gateway to the Garhwal Himalayas" and"Yoga Capital of the World. It is also known as the pilgrimage town and regarded as one of the holiest places for Hindus. Visit Ram Jhula and LakhsmanJhula. Legends state that Lord Rama did penance here for killing Ravana, the asura king of Lanka; and Lakshmana, his younger brother,crossed the river Ganges, at the point, where the present 'Lakshman Jhula' bridge stands today, using a jute rope bridge. The jute-rope bridge was replaced by iron-rope suspension bridge in 1889. After it was washed away in the 1924 floods, it was replaced by the present stronger bridge. Another similar suspension bridge Ram Jhula was built in 1986 at nearby Sivananda Nagar. In the evening partake in the Aarti at Triveni ghat. The Ganga Aarti at Triveni Ghat, alsocalled as the Maha Aarti, is an evening prayer performed on the banks of the River Ganga. It is a major highlight of the ghat, which attracts many devotees and visitors. The aarti is accompanied with chanting of bhajans, beating drums and bells. People light oil diyas, put them on flower-filled leaf boats and release in the holy waters of the river. These illuminated lamps in the evening provide a beautiful view. Overnight stay in Rishikesh.

Rishikesh - Guptkashi (190 kms / 06 hrs)
After breakfast drive to Guptkashi, at 1319m is known for its ancient Vishwanath Temple dedicated to the god Shiva, which is similar to the one in Varanasi (Kashi). This morning we travel from Guptkashi to Kedarnath at 3583m Kedarnath has been a pilgrimage centre since the ancient times, although it is not certain who constructed the original Kedarnath temple and when. Behind the town and Kedarnath temple, stands the majestic Kedarnath peak 6,940 m, Kedar Dome 6,831 m and other peaks of the range. Guptakashi - Haridwar (220 kms/ 7.5 hrs)
After an early breakfast at hotel, drive to Haridwar, an ancient and important Hindu pilgrimage site, where the River Ganges exits the Himalayan foothills. According to legend Haridwar is one of four sites where drops of Amrit, the elixir of immortality, accidentally spilled over from the pitcher while being carried by the celestial bird Garuda. This is manifested in the Kumbha Mela, which is celebrated every 12 years in Haridwar. BrahmaKund, the spot where the Amrit fell, is located at Har ki Pauri is the most sacred ghat of Haridwar. We visit Har Ki Pauri after sunset to witness the famous Ganga Aarti. Overnight stay in Haridwar.

After an early breakfast have a sightseeing tour of Haridwar seeing, Maya Devi temple, previously known as Mayapuri which is because of the Goddess Maya Devi, this ancient temple of Maya Devi, the Adhishthatri Devi (Patron Goddess) of Haridwar, is considered one of the Siddhapith as and is said to be the place where the heart and navel of Goddess Sati had fallen.
