Day 03
River Kwai - Jeath Museum - Train ride
Depart for a trip to River Kwai.  The trip includes a visit to the infamous bridge on the River Kwai, built by Allied prisoners of war (POW) during World War II. It includes a visit to a war cemetery containing the graves of an estimated 9,000 Allied soldiers who died while building the bridge and constructing the notorious “Death Railway”. At the JEATH Museum, guests will see a replica of a Japanese POW camp, followed by a train journey along a stunning stretch of the Death Railway. Upon arrival at Wang Po station, close to the Burmese border, you can buy a buffet lunch. After an exciting day, head back to Bangkok for dinner. Overnight in Bangkok.

Day 04
Bangkok - Damnoen Saduak Floating Market - Rose Garden
This morning visit the floating market of Damnoen Saduak, where traders sell exotic fruit and vegetables, silks and toys. Following this, proceed to visit the world's tallest Buddhist pagoda, Phra Pathom Chedi, before heading to the Rose Garden cultural centre for lunch and a fantastic Thai show that includes the fingernail dance, sword fighting and Thai boxing. Overnight in Bangkok.

Day 05
Bangkok - Ayutthaya
This morning head north from Bangkok to the city of Ayutthaya the capital of Kingdom of Siam from 1350-1767. The former Siamese capital Ayutthaya lies 70 km north of Bangkok. Visit Bang Pa-In Summer Palace, which was revived by the Chakri kings in the 19th century and sports a mixture of Thai, Chinese and European architectural styles. Continue to the ruins of Ayutthaya, abandoned after a Bamar invasion of 1767. In its heyday, Ayutthaya was one of the wealthiest and most magnificent cities of the Orient. Visit the remains of Wat Maha That (the 'great relic' temple) Wat Na Phramane and Wat Lokayasutharam with its giant reclining Buddha image. Board the river Cruise and return to Bangkok along the Chao Phraya, the 'River of Kings'. Enjoy the countryside scenery giving way to the city of Bangkok. Overnight in Bangkok.

Day 06
Bangkok - City Tour - Chiang Mai
Today, check out from the hotel and have a the city tour of Bangkok. Visiting the splendid Wat Traimit Temple with its golden Buddha, Wat Po with its stunning reclining Buddha, the amazing Grand Palace, and the wonderful Temple of the Emerald Buddha. Later proceed to the airport for your flight to Chang Mai. On arrival transfer for dinner and overnight in Chiang Mai.

Day 07
Chiang Mai - Chiang Rai
Today depart for Chiang Rai city, the older sister of Chiang Mai, founded in 1262 by King Mengrai. Visit the beautiful White Temple also known as Wat Rongkhun built by Mr. Chalermchai, the famous Buddhist artist, drive to the Golden Triangle territory, visiting Sop Ruak, where the Ruak River converges with the mighty Mekong and the borders of Myanmar, Thailand and Laos converge. This is the apex of the Thai portion of the notorious Golden Triangle, but nowadays this side of the border is less wild. Proceed to the busy border market town of Mae Sai, at the northern most point in Thailand, facing the Burmese town of Tachilek across the Sai river. Overnight in Chiang Mai.

Day 08
Chiang Mai - City Tour - Hmong Nong village Botanical Gardens
Today have a half day city tour of Chiang Mai has many beautiful and historical Buddhist temples, and this tour will take you to visit Chiang Mai's most interesting one, 600 year old Wat Phra That Doi Suthep perched 1053 metres above sea-level on Doi Suthep mountainside. The final ascent to the site is via a magnificent Naga (dragon-headed serpent) staircase of 306 step (alternatively for a small extra cost the temple can be reached by a cable-lift). Inside is an intriguing copper-plated chedi topped by a five-tier golf umbrella which contains partial relics of Lord Buddha. Other temples include Wat Suan Dok whose large central stupa contains a Buddha relic and where the ashes of Chiang Mai's Royal Family are interred; Wat Chedi Luang where the Emerald Buddha was once enshrined; and Wat Phra Singh, housing a very sacred 1,500 years old Buddha image. Continue onto Make your first stop in the Hmong village of Baan Hmong Nong Hoi Mai, a development which has been designated as a ‘Royal Project’ of the Thai monarchy. Whereas the members of the community once made their living by cultivating opium, today the villagers have transformed the nearby hillsides of the area into a series of sustainable farm fields and test plantations. Continue to the Queen Sirikit Botanic Garden, another development project kick startedby the Thai Royal Family. Overnight in Chiang Mai.
